Semrush costs $139 to $549 a month for one user since its May 2026 plan change. Every plan, plus what extra users, toolkits, and API access cost.
Semrush's paid plans cost $139 to $549 a month for one user, or $117.33 to $455.67 a month if you pay yearly. Extra users are $45 to $100 a month each, and local, content, ads, and traffic tools are sold separately. The free plan gives you 10 reports a day.
Semrush changed its plans in May 2026, so older guides still list Pro, Guru, and Business plans you can't buy anymore.

Starter, Pro+, and Advanced are the Semrush One plans. Paying yearly saves up to 17%, and you pay for the whole year upfront. Most people move up a plan when they need more tracked keywords or websites.
What changed in May 2026
Until May, Semrush sold three SEO plans: Pro at $139.95 a month, Guru at $249.95, and Business at $499.95. Now the SEO plan costs about what Pro did, and Starter, Pro+, and Advanced replace the rest. Semrush calls the old plans "legacy."
What extra users cost
Every plan includes one user. Each extra user costs $45 a month on SEO and Starter, $80 on Pro+, and $100 on Advanced.
What Semrush's toolkits cost
Toolkits are sold on top of the plans. These are the prices when you pay yearly:

What the Semrush API and MCP cost
Semrush's MCP server lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT use Semrush data. It comes with the Starter and Pro+ plans, which include 50,000 API units a month, and every query uses some of them. It can read data but can't save anything back to Semrush.
The full API needs the Advanced plan, plus API units that Semrush sells in packages.
Free plan, free trial, and refunds
- Free plan. 10 reports a day and one demo project. No card needed.
- Free trial. 7 days, once per account, and it needs a card. It turns into a paid plan unless you cancel.
- Refunds. Only within 7 days, and only on a first yearly plan or a first add-on. Monthly plans and renewals aren't refundable.
- Canceling. You fill in a form, then confirm through an email link within 24 hours, or billing continues. Plans can't be paused.

Is Semrush worth it?
Semrush is worth it when you use a lot of it. An agency running SEO, ads, and client reports across many sites gets real value from 55 tools, Semrush's own databases, and history back to 2012.
It's harder to justify for one website. If you mostly research keywords, watch your rankings, and audit your site a few times a month, you'd pay $1,668 a year for tools you open now and then. Start with Google Search Console, which is free and shows your real clicks and rankings, and add a cheaper tool for the research it can't do.
